Moroccan Saffron Series – Taznakht
Morocco is considered the
fourth producer of saffron in the world. Saffron cultivation is of great social
and economic importance, due to its role in valuing the field in production
areas and the additional income it generates for rural residents. In a context
of high global market demand, Morocco relies on its plant wealth, production
and cost control and local skills. The Souss-Massa region and the Draa-Tafilalet
region are considered the most prominent regions in the production of saffron
in Morocco. The Taliouine-Taznakht axis constitutes the main focus for the
